The owners and staff are extremely accommodating and treated us like family. Our room was quiet, very clean with a comfortable bed and other furniture that gives you the additional work space with a feeling of home. Good assortment for breakfast. Conveniently located close to anything you need. Thank you for that “friendly and at home feeling”!
I have stayed at Econo Lodge, Athens, TN 90 times over the last couple of years. I travel through the area a lot with my job. I have never seen any homeless people or any Drama nor any of the issues Sarah (Mustanger04) spoke of. I alsways felt safe as I walked across the parking lot to Ruby Tuesday for dinner. The remodeled rooms are clean and comfortable. Pillows are so good, I even asked if I could buy a new one from them. Recently under NEW Ownership. I have only good things to say. Clean, great rates and friendly, safe atmosphere.
The staff here was wonderful. Very affordable. The room was clean and smelled nice. Beds were sooo comfortable. I paid so much more for horrible rooms on this vacation at other locations...we should have just stayed here. It would have been a much more pleasant experience.

Love that it's family owned and on premises with a garden out back. No bugs, always a plus. We like places like this where you can back your truck up to your door. Easy on/off the interstate.
The room was clean the owner was really nice and welcoming. My dog was allowed to stay that's a win to me. Nothing fancy but it's great to catch some sleep while road tripping. Making it my stopping spot on my future trips.
The non smoking rooms are awesome. The smoking rooms are horrible. The bathtubs in both rooms I stayed 2 nights were black. Even after I bleached them the bath tubs must never get cleaned here.
This is a hidden gem The staff were over and above friendly. The property was spotless and well maintained. The room was roomy and modern , and very clean. The room had 4 chairs to sit in an extra computer desk you could pull out. The TV had a large selection of channels. There are many restaurants with on walking distance. The continental breakfast was fine. Just what you would expect. But once again the friendliness of the owners made it special.
